【2025 Kure Food Festival】

This is a classic autumn event where you can enjoy Kure’s gourmet foods such as Kure Hoso Udon (thin udon noodles), Nikujaga, JMSDF Kure curry, as well as delicious food from around the prefecture and international gourmet all at once. Let’s enjoy the “Autumn of Appetite” to the fullest!

《Joining an After-School Children’s Association from April》
If guardians, etc. are not at home during the day due to work or other reasons, the Children’s Association will take care of the children from after school until the evening, providing a place for them to live and play.
●Target group of children
Children enrolled in elementary schools within the city.
●Requirements for membership
Guardians are absent from their children’s homes for 15 days or more per month due to work or other reasons, and this situation continues for 3 months or more.
●Application

Please apply using the “Childcare Online Application” from November 1st (Sat) to November 30th (Sun) (guardian’s certificate of employment, etc. is required).
If this period has passed, you may not be able to join on your desired date.

【A multilingual life guidebook has been published】
Even if you leave a company, you are still required to be covered by health insurance in case of illness or injury. If you are no longer eligible for health insurance, please follow one of the following procedures:
“The Kure Life Guidebook for Foreigners” has been published in English, Chinese, Portuguese, and Vietnamese. It contains a lot of useful information for foreigners about life and administrative procedures.
It is distributed free of charge at the International Exchange Center on the 1st floor of the Kure City Hall, Tobu Chiku Foreign Resident Comprehensive Consultation Counter in Hiro Shimin Center, and every local Civic Center.
