【Kure Port Festival】

The Kure Port Festival, a major spring event in Kure, will be held.
There will be stage performances, a bazaar with delicious food, and a parade.

●Date and time：April 29 (Wednesday/national holiday)　from 10:00am
●Venue：Area around Kuramoto-dori
※Traffic restrictions will be in place in the Kuramoto-dori area on the day of the event. You cannot park in the City Hall parking lot. Please use public transportation (buses, trains, etc.)

●Contents
Stage（10:00am～）Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force Band Kure’s performance, Jazz Dance, etc.
Bazaar（10:00am～）Gourmet Corner, Bazaar Corner
Parade（2:00pm～）About 2,000 citizens will take part in the parade, featuring powerful and energetic dances.

【Water Utility Fee Exemption】

To help reduce the financial burden on residents caused by rising prices of electricity, gas, and food, the city will waive the basic water fee for eight months as part of a municipal measure funded by the national “Temporary Grants for Priority Support for Local Revitalization to Counter Rising Prices.”

No application or procedures are required. For the applicable months, your water bill will be charged after deducting the basic fee.

●Eligibility: All households and businesses that have a water supply contract with the Kure City Waterworks and Sewerage Bureau (excluding public facilities of the nation, prefecture, city, etc.)

●Exemption amount differs depending on the usage and the diameter of water meter

●Target month

Even if you leave a company, you are still required to be covered by health insurance in case of illness or injury. If you are no longer eligible for health insurance, please follow one of the following procedures:
“The Kure Life Guidebook for Foreigners” has been published in English, Chinese, Portuguese, and Vietnamese. It contains a lot of useful information for foreigners about life and administrative procedures.
It is distributed free of charge at the International Exchange Center on the 1st floor of the Kure City Hall, Tobu Chiku Foreign Resident Comprehensive Consultation Counter in Hiro Shimin Center, and every local Civic Center.
