【Cost-of-Living Support Child-Rearing Allowance】
A “Cost-of-Living Support Child-Rearing Allowance” of 20,000 yen per child will be provided to parents/guardians who are raising children from birth through the third year of high school (children born between April 2, 2007 and March 31, 2026).
●Those Who Do NOT Need to Apply(※Notices regarding the “Cost-of-Living Support Child-Rearing Allowance” have been sent since February.)
(1)Those who received Child Allowance payments for September 2025 from Kure City
(2)Those whose Child Allowance for children born on or after October 1, 2025 has been approved by Kure City

【Vaccination against Measles and Rubella (until March 31)】

●This is the second dose of the vaccination for children born between April 2, 2019 and April 1, 2020
※Vaccinations are free until Tuesday, March 31, but will be charged at around 10,000 yen after that. Maternity health record books are required. Children must be accompanied by someone fully conversant with the children’s state of health.

Even if you leave a company, you are still required to be covered by health insurance in case of illness or injury. If you are no longer eligible for health insurance, please follow one of the following procedures:
“The Kure Life Guidebook for Foreigners” has been published in English, Chinese, Portuguese, and Vietnamese. It contains a lot of useful information for foreigners about life and administrative procedures.
It is distributed free of charge at the International Exchange Center on the 1st floor of the Kure City Hall, Tobu Chiku Foreign Resident Comprehensive Consultation Counter in Hiro Shimin Center, and every local Civic Center.
